One of the ways in which we develop friendships and get to know one another at a deeper level within the life of St. John's, is through our weekly homegroup meetings. These are small, informal groups, held in different homes during the week - morning, afternoon or evening to suit every need - where people meet to enjoy each other's company in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Being a Christian is great but it is sometimes tough and we need the help, encouragement and support of our Christian friends and the homegroup provides this. It is, in many ways, a continuation of our Sunday worship ... we meet to pray together, to study the Bible and share together but in a more informal setting and are encouraged to include praise and worship. We also have fun together with planned social evenings, sometimes joining with another homegroup.
Our aim is to learn together, and from each other, in a way that will enable us to grow as Christians and to live more effectively for Jesus. Why not come and see for yourself. You will find a very warm welcome.
