There are approximately 50 churches in Weymouth and Portland, all worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Sunday meetings 10.30 - 12.30Newstead Road, Weymouth. DT4 8JE

We are a bunch of ordinary people whose lives have been touched by encountering an extraordinary God! From all walks of life and widely differing backgrounds, we have been drawn together by experiences of his love: sometimes dramatic, sometimes gradual, always life changing. Our desire is that everyone alive would come to know this love for themselves.

Our meetings are designed to give an opportunity for people to encounter God. We spend quite a bit of time worshipping God with music which has a fairly contemporary feel. We find that this is a great environment for out hearts to connect with God. We devote time to preach and teach from the bible, as we believe the bible is given to us to reveal God’s heart. We have age specific groups for children and young people who are a big priority to us. Each time we meet we also make opportunities to pray for individuals by placing hands on them as we see this really makes a difference.

Sunday services 9am, 10:30am, 6:30pmSeafront, Weymouth

At the heart of the Christian faith is a personal relationship with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  We want to introduce others to Jesus, and to help all who know Him to grow in a relationship with Him as Saviour, Lord and Friend.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. Study of this, together with  prayer, worship and  fellowship are important aspects of our life.

We believe that God is working in fresh ways through His Spirit today, applying the Bible to life and enabling people to experience in different ways the love, power and peace of God. We also believe that people of every age are precious to God and so our aim is increasingly to provide a ministry from 'cradle to the grave'.  Obviously this is more than one person can achieve so shared ministry, with active involvement with church members is important ... as it was in the days of the early church.

Easton Methodist Church has been open for over 110 years and has developed into a very versatile church. Although still small at just under 90 members, it is a hub for many members of the community and will host many different events and projects like Cafe Church, The Board Room, and Sacred Encounter.  This, the larger of the two churches has been one of the few Methodist churches that is pioneering the multiplex worship system which tries to cater for differing preferences for learning and worshipping without isolating any age groups.
